Architectural Technician / Project Manager

Harris Project Management Ltd (HPM) – sister company to The Harris Partnership Ltd (architects) – are a specialist firm of architectural technicians, project managers, contract administrators, quantity surveyors and CDM Regulations consultants.

Due to a strong forecasted workload in our national projects, we are looking for an architectural technician to join our friendly enthusiastic team at HPM in our office in Wakefield.

The role will involve:

  •  Planning/ technical drawings in AutoCAD
  • Planning application submissions and liaison
  • Building regulations submissions and liaison
  • Travelling to construction sites and carrying out measured surveys, taking client brief
  • Assisting with preparing tender and contract documents for JCT building contracts
  • Assisting with contract administration of JCT contracts
  • Fulfilling Designer and Principal Designer duties under the CDM Regulations
  • Fulfilling Designer and Principal Designer duties under the Building Regulations
  • Desire to progress into Project Management leading to running own projects

 Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following qualities / qualifications:

  • AutoCAD skills and experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A smart, enthusiastic and professional demeanour
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Knowledge and experience of JCT building contracts is desirable
