Harris Project Management Ltd (HPM – established 2001) are sister company to The Harris Partnership Ltd (architects) and are a specialist firm of project managers, contract administrators, quantity surveyors and CDM consultants providing services and advice under the CDM Regulations.

We work closely with in-house architects and designers on construction/ refurbishment/ fit out projects all over the UK and are looking for an enthusiastic person with adaptable skills to join the team.

The role will involve the following:

  • Carry out measured surveys
  • Planning/ technical drawings in AutoCAD
  • Planning application submissions and liaison
  • Building regulations submissions and liaison
  • Travel to attend construction sites and design team meetings, chair and record meetings, reporting to the client
  • Liaise with third party designers and contractors for the client
  • Monitor quality, costs and progress of the contractor on site and report to the client
  • Preparation of contract documents and contract administration for JCT minor works/ intermediate contracts
  • Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations including:
    • Working with designers to identify and eliminate hazards
    • Producing and distributing Pre-Construction Information
    • Reviewing Construction Phase Plans
    • Producing Health and Safety Files

Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following qualities / qualifications:

Essential

  • AutoCAD skills and experience
  • Knowledge and experience of the Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A smart, enthusiastic and professional demeanour
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Desirable but not essential

  • Design related degree or similar
  • APS member
  • NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate
  • Interest in project management, coordination and contract administration
